Business Development Manager – New Sales

Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding our client base, and driving revenue growth. Your ability to develop strategic partnerships, generate leads, and close deals will be critical in advancing Inner Valor’s vision to become the most trusted name in security. This role requires strong industry knowledge, networking expertise, and a results-driven mindset.


Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary + performance-based commission
  • Earning potential increases with sales growth and performance-based incentives


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities in target markets. Develop and execute strategies to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Client Acquisition: Engage with prospective clients to understand their security needs and present customized solutions that demonstrate the value of Inner Valor’s services.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to refine and execute sales strategies that align with the company’s vision and revenue goals.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors, using insights to strengthen our sales positioning.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and presentations to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Client Transition & Retention: Work closely with operations and account management teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Analyze and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and market feedback to senior management.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven success in B2B business development and new sales, preferably in security or a related industry.
  • Established network in the Chicagoland area, with the ability to leverage relationships for business growth.
  • Deep industry knowledge and a strong passion for helping clients protect their assets and personnel.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
