Evening Security Officer – Bowling Alley

At Inner Valor, we specialize in providing high-quality security solutions to ensure the safety of guests and staff in entertainment venues. We are currently seeking dedicated and observant Security Officers to provide access control, security screening, and crowd management at bowling alleys in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.


Position Overview:

The selected individuals will be responsible for patrolling, securing assigned premises, and proactively identifying security risks. Officers will play a crucial role in deterring disturbances, ensuring safe guest experiences, and enforcing venue policies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all patrons and staff.
  • Control access by verifying IDs and enforcing entry policies.
  • Perform security screenings, including bag checks and monitoring for prohibited items.
  • Patrol premises to deter potential security threats and prevent vandalism or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor CCTV surveillance to detect and address security risks.
  • De-escalate conflicts and remove disruptive individuals as needed.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies, disturbances, or criminal activity.
  • Assist in crowd control during peak hours, ensuring smooth guest flow and adherence to venue rules.
  • Act proactively to mitigate fire hazards, blocked emergency exits, and other safety concerns.
  • Maintain a visible security presence and communicate effectively with venue staff and law enforcement when necessary.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain alert in fast-paced environments.
  • Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week, including weekends and evenings.
  • Punctual and dependable, with reliable transportation to assigned locations.
  • Flexible availability, including late-night and weekend shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of following complex instructions and enforcing security protocols.
  • Mandatory participation in screening process, including drug test, physical fitness test, driver’s license status check, driving record review, and background investigation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PERC and 20-hour Basic Security Officer Training certification.
  • Illinois BASSETT certification (preferred for security roles in licensed venues).
  • Prior experience in security, hospitality, or entertainment venues.
  • Knowledge of security operations, crowd control, and emergency response procedures.
  • Associate Degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Frequent standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods, including navigating crowded spaces.
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed.
  • Possessing the ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly in high-energy environments.
  • Ability to navigate narrow hallways and staircases as part of security patrols.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 10 pounds frequently, with occasional movement of up to 25 pounds.
